Northwest Flooring has installed and refinished floors across Fairfield County since 2011. We measure the rooms, check the subfloor, source the material, and install it with our own crews, so one company stays accountable from the estimate through to the final threshold.

Martin started laying hardwood at nineteen, working for a Norwalk installer who sent him out alone in his second week. He opened Northwest Flooring fifteen years later and has run it since.

He still walks every estimate himself. He measures the rooms, pulls a vent cover to see what is under the existing floor, and checks moisture content before anything gets quoted. On specification work he handles material selection directly with designers and architects.

Elliot came up through commercial tile before moving to residential, which is where he learned that most flooring failures start underneath the floor rather than in it.

He runs the crews and the schedule: subfloor assessment, moisture testing, levelling, and the sequencing that keeps a job moving when painters and cabinet installers are working in the same house. If a substrate has to be corrected before the floor goes down, that call is his.
