Northwest Flooring

Our Commitment

Accessibility

Northwest Flooring is committed to a website that is usable and welcoming for everyone.

01

Our Commitment

We want anyone to be able to read about our work, compare materials, and get in touch, regardless of how they browse. Accessibility is treated as part of building and maintaining the site rather than something added at the end.

02

Standards We Follow

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Those guidelines cover how content is structured, how it is presented, and how it responds to assistive technology.

03

Measures We Take

The practical steps behind that aim include:

Semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate the page structure.

Descriptive text alternatives for images that carry meaning.

Colour contrast checked against the AA thresholds for body and interface text.

Full keyboard operation, with a visible focus indicator on every control.

Layouts that reflow to narrow screens and tolerate enlarged text.

Respect for the reduced-motion setting, which stops non-essential movement.

04

Known Limitations

Some areas are still being improved. Older photography may lack a full description, and a small number of PDF documents predate our current standards. We are working through both.

05

Third-Party Content

Some content comes from third parties, including manufacturer specification sheets and embedded maps. We do not control how those are built. Where a third-party element creates a barrier, contact us and we will provide the information another way.

06

Feedback And Assistance

If you hit a barrier, or need something in another format such as large print, email hello@northwestflooring.com or call (203) 555-0184. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will get you the information and fix the underlying problem.

07

Response Times

We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within two business days and to provide the requested information in an accessible format as quickly as we reasonably can.

08

Formal Concerns

If our response does not resolve the issue, you can escalate it by writing to us at our office address, marked for the attention of the owner. We treat accessibility complaints as a priority.
